Here is an Irish Blessing for you: “May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day. May songbirds serenade you every step along the way. May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue. And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.”
Even though we had cold and snow yesterday the feel of the coming spring is present. I posted this image of the coneflowers to remind myself, and you, of the approaching new season. The macro season is near!
Notes on coneflowers: Coneflowers are old fashioned prairie plants. Echinacea resemble daisies with swept-back petals. They are hardy, drought tolerant and long-blooming and are being cultivated in an ever widening range of colors

This is really cool, have you placed a mirror behind the flower to get the symmetry or were you just really lucky?

@DaveB: Both! I was lucky to see the image and have had enough time behind the lens to look for such images. Don't know I have been gifted to see images but practice will hone our skills. Thanks for looking and your comments, Dave.
Absolutely beautiful. Great focus and DOF.

This picture is beautiful, colorful and the composition if great. I like your photoblog, you are very creative and when I read your about page I've found a little bit of my story in your past life. I’m 38 now and I’m an engineer too (still work 50 hours a week as a VP of an engineering firm in Montreal) and I think that the “artist” inside of us is truly expressed with photography, it's my stress relief. Thank you for the kind comments you left me; I’ll be a regular visitor of your site…
