Standing Alone

Posted by Monte Stevens (Westerville, United States) on 24 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

This image was taken on the same motorcycle trip as yesterday’s photo. I was heading north out of Vernal, Utah on my way to Yellowstone National Park. As you can see in the photo the clouds were rolling in, the wind was blowing and temperatures were dropping. About an hour later I had to turn around and choose an alternate route because of rain and snow. Nature can be harsh and these trees reflect that. They sit atop of a ridge, isolated, exposed to the ever changing seasons.
