“Trees are much like human beings and enjoy each other's company. Only a few love to be alone.” ~Jens Jensen, Siftings, 1939
It seems that I must keep driving farther each month in order to find open space for photos such as this one. They are becoming scarce as man changes the face of our earth, at a high price. I have found a few trees that stand tall in the open and whenever I can make a journey to visit them. This tree proudly stands tall along the Colorado Front Range after a late summer rain.

I love it but, for me, the best part is the brightness in the sky around the tree.
