Spring Rain Drops

There is a saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” Not the case for the first of May this year. The first couple of days of May have brought wind, rain, snow and cold temperatures. While visiting a friend I braved the rain and cold to take a couple of shots of some tulips. I like how the petals on this tulip seem to be wrapping around its self as if it were a blanket trying to keep warm and dry. We expect to see rain this time of year but not the snow and cold. Where is Spring?
