Bench Shrouded in FogPosted by Monte Stevens (Westerville, United States) on 8 June 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Last year I made a couple of visits with a fellow photographer, Naomi Sheaffer, in Winchester, Virginia. She was kind enough to be my guide to the area around her hometown of Winchester and the Blandy Experimental Farm which is the home of the State Arboretum of Virginia. Later on in the fall she led me into the Shenandoah Valley. The trip to the Shenandoah Park was shrouded with fog which gave us new opportunities to photograph Skyline Drive. As benches have always been one of my favorite subjects, we took a few photos. This image was taken near the visitor center. Her photo of the same bench can be seen here. Please feel free to browse her galleries as she is a good photographer and guide.
