Cottontail

I found another park near my apartment called Blendon Woods. It also is a part of the Metro Parks system like Inniswood. It is much larger with 648 acres of gentle rolling woods and open fields. More than half of the park is forested so it provides a wonderful environment for birds and wildlife. It also includes an 11-acre lake, Thoreau Lake, which has 2 elevated observation shelters for viewing of the waterfowl without disturbing them. I met this little one along the path to the lake. Looks like some wound along its side. I will definitely make a few more trips to this park.
