Why Read?

When I was younger I disliked reading. There were words I did not understand so the context of the story became lost. But, somewhere along my life’s journey I discovered the joy of reading. So, what are the advantages of reading books? The answer given at WikiAnswers is, “Books take you places and teach you new things. Or you can read just for fun. Books can help you understand things.” That’s pretty simple for me. But one thing is missing, we also read books to go along with our coffee or tea.
