A Fresh Snowfall
Posted by Monte Stevens (Westerville, United States) on 17 December 2008 in Cityscape & Urban.
Fresh Snow
Fresh snow she came one wintery eve
About three inches she did leave
She has whispered in her cumbersome load
Then breezed out quietly on down the road
She has dusted the roof tops and and silked the trees
Its a lovely white setting that she has left for me
She has left me enchanted amidst my havock
Just as you know winter she'll have it
And the weight of her snow on the bows below
Has left me here covered with her fresh snow
But I would not have been standing here below her load
If it were not for the beauty of her Fresh Snow.

This image was taken two years ago the morning after a light snow fall. Near my condo is a bike path that follows a small stream and secluded by trees. It offers a small place to step aside of the business of city life.
